Tips to Make Good Impression with Summer Suits
Summer suits lie more on the casual side of clothing, and are worn during the daytime for semi-formal settings, business casual settings and other outdoorsy casual events. Cotton can be donned in the summer day time when you are out for a semi- formal lunch or a casual business meet. The fabrics used in summer suits should be soft and of great quality. The fit of the suit is like the fit of all other suits except that the summer suit should be slimmer fitting and should contain of up to 2 buttons at the maximum as they are casual suits. They should be tailored to wrap around your body cozily and the pants should be tapered. The pants should be slim fitting and the jacket should be well fitted around the torso. As they lie more on the casual side, single breasted jackets with narrow lapels are great choices. The whole point of summer suits is that they should be comfortable enough for warm weather and should never feel too sultry or suffocating. The fabric should have a high breathability and therefore should never be too heavy to make you feel hot. Summer suits usually come in bright bold colors, as the conservative black lies more on the formal side and are more suitable for the colder months. Therefore, choose suits of bright colors like red, pleasant blue, white and so on which are not very conservative for a suit. The main is to keep the colors and the patterns of the shirt considerably safe, subtle and subdued. As the suits themselves make a flashy statement, the shirts need to be simple and plain. Therefore, depending on contrast alone is never going to work with these colors. The safest options for bold colors like reds and greens include white, off- white or very light colored subtle shirts. White ones tend to be neutrals here as they can go with all kinds of flashy colored coats and maintain the sophistication of the ensemble. You can go for a black shirt with a white or a red one. Similarly, light blue suits work with either a black or a white shirt. Another way to don the bold colored ones would be to choose a lighter shade of their matching color.
Make sure that you wear the summer suit during the spring or summer season and not during the autumn- winter season as they are appropriate for a warm weather only. Wearing them during the colder days can make you feel cold, look very odd and out of place. They are not meant to be worn for work or on formal occasions as they spell casual. They should never be worn to business meets or client presentation or any other work related occasion. They are outdoorsy and hence don't go well with indoor occasions like formal evening parties, dinner nights or indoor celebrations. They are meant to be worn for a casual picnic, cruise parties and other adventurous occasions. A button down collar is too conservative and a broad or cutaway collar is much too formal. The shoes that can be paired with the summer suit include black or burgundy oxfords, loafers, monk straps, brogues and other formal shoes. Never wear any other color than black, brown or burgundy as they add a formal touch to the look and hence are necessary. Wearing suede or canvas is not appropriate for the suit and hence always stick to leather footwear. You can go open collar with these suits as they look more casual. If you insist on ties, then wear ties that complement the color of the shirt and the entire ensemble. Pocket squares can also be worn and similar to ties they should never stand out but subtly blend in with the ensemble.
